This look book on how to wear a satin midi skirt will inspire you with my pairings, as well as tips and tricks.
Look #1: Animal print satin midi skirt
I am starting my how to wear a satin midi skirt look book with a black and gold inspired motif. This skirt is from Madison and Mallory, and it is such a winner with the playful, ruffled hem. You will notice that the collar on the shirt also has a ruffles, which enables it to tie in with the skirt well. I am tucking the shirt in, but the sheer material is loose and the extra hangs out a bit, which I like.
This look is great for those spring days that are a bit cooler, but you can always substitute with a short sleeve shirt and/or open toed shoes if the weather calls for it.
I want to take a moment to speak about the earrings. These leaf earrings, as well as the tassel earrings coming up soon, are actually from CVS! They are from a brand called “Lana” and you can only find them in store! I would really like to link you all to the brand, but CVS does not have them on their website. I am a huge fan of costume jewelry that does not look cheap, and the quality is definitely there with Lana.
The price points vary depending on the piece. A simple ring might run you $5.99, but some of the sets or the larger or more intricate pieces can be closer to $20. I have been enjoying this brand all year so far, and I do recommend that you look out for them!

Look #2: Tiger print satin midi skirt
My second look is very ferocious indeed, and it has plenty of texture. These lace top camis keep popping up everywhere, but they look undeniably chic with skirts. I tucked only the front section of the cami into the skirt.
If the weather is not permitting to wear a cami, then I like to opt for this leather drape front jacket. This is such a great piece in general because you can pair it with literally anything for a touch of style.
Besides the tiger print on the skirt, I also have snake print on the handbag, just to be extra. The hue of the tortoise shell earrings matches the skirt well, and all of the accents are consistently gold.

Look #3: Beige satin midi skirt
I love to pair a graphic tee with a midi skirt, and you can really amp it up by tying it in a knot or tucking it in. The cheetahs on this shirt are very unique. As you can see, I am really playing up the color of the cheetahs by matching my shoes, skirt, earrings, and handbag with them. If you want to dress the look down further, you can opt for shoes with a smaller heel, or no heel at all. The tassel earrings lend a feminine touch.
A funny note here is that the mannequin refused to stand up with these shoes on. I guess the heels are too high! Besides putting the mannequin back on its stand, I also held it down with weights, as you can see in the pictures. When it comes to style, creativity extends well beyond the clothing itself!

Do not hesitate to experiment with tucking a shirt into the skirt, or tying your shirt up. There are so many ways you can handle your satin midi skirts, but these three examples are sure to spark strong inspiration. What do you want to see me style next? Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
