I cannot believe that we have finally made it to the last Play! by Sephora box of the year! Please join me for this Play! by Sephora December 2016 review. December’s theme is “The Partygoers.” I hope we find some products that are good for holiday parties. Without further delay, let’s unbox this thing.
A new style bag! What a surprise this month. It is very elegant.
Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
The first item in this Play! by Sephora December 2016 review is Urban Decay’s All Nigher Setting Spray. It is supposed to keep your makeup looking freshly applied for 16 hours and is weather resistant. You are to apply it to the face using “X” and “T” motions.
Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Always Red
Second is Sephora’s Cream Lip Stain in Always Red. This product is supposed to dry fully matte while leaving your lips feeling smooth. I find that it applies very pigmented and creamy. It feels more like a matte lippie than a stain that does actually dry down matte in a a few minutes. The swatch is difficult to wash off!
Make Up For Ever Step 1 Equalizer Smoothing Primer
hird is Make Up For Ever’s Step 1 Equalizer Smoothing Primer. It claims to to equalize the texture of your skin while keeping your makeup in tact. The scent is very clean and the formula has a skin-tone like color.
Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara
Fourth is Smokey Eye Mascara by Bobby Brown. This mascara claims to be a deeply pigmented black kohl mascara that provides high-impact volume, while being smudge free. It is best used with smokey eye looks and kohl eyeliner. I notice that the wand is pretty standard and not very flexible.
Drybar Bay Breeze Hydrating Shot
Fifth is Drybar’s Bay Breeze Hydrating Shot. It is for hydrating your hair, especially during the winter. After shampooing you are to squeeze the excess water from your hair, and then spray this entire bottle all over, working it from roots to ends. Then you rinse it out, using it once per week. It is a shame this is a one time use sample, but I wonder if I will see any effects from it.
Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon
The final sample in this Play! by Sephora December 2016 review is Elizabeth and James’ Nirvana Bourbon fragrance. This is a very interesting scent, to say the least. I do not find it to be strong, but it feels well-suited for winter and can even be unisex. It is a warm fragrance with notes of vanilla bourbon, tuberose, oak, and spice woods. This is a scent that will make others around you wonder what you are wearing!
There you have it, this is the end of my Play! by Sephora December 2016 review. What are your thoughts? Do you have any of these products or do you plan on buying any? I have plenty of more unboxings coming up in 2017, so stick around if they are your favorite! Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
