Walmart Beauty Box Fall 2024 Review, Unboxing, Spoilers

The Walmart Beauty Box Fall 2024 box is here perfectly on time, as there is no real release date. Let’s unbox it together as I review the items and overall experience. These will serve as subscription spoilers if you have yet to receive your box.

Olay Cleansing Melts + Vitamin C

I have been wanting to try this cleanser after its heavy adveritising campaign over the summer! I believe it was a happy accident that I got two samples, as the other boxes that I have seen only have one.

This claims to be a daily facial cleanser that transforms the look and feel of your skin without stripping it. It should clean, tone, and refresh the skin. You are to gently wet it with water and wait three seconds for it to dissolve, lather it in your hands, massage it onto your face, then rinse.

I find that they do melt in three seconds and lather up well. They are highly fragranced and the scent lingers after washing it off. This is bad news if you are sensitive to fragrance. I have tested these as a makeup remover and they work as well as any wipe does and I do have the raccoon eye situation going on. On a normal, no-makeup day they work like an average cleanser where the pores around my nose are still clogged.

I am on the fence about buying the full-size. These are excellent for travel in terms of size, weight, and ease of use. I am no stranger to Olay! It has been a long time but you can check out my guide on how to use Olay products step by step.

Degree Advanced 72H Motionsense Dry Spray in Sexy Intrigue

This spray deodorant claims to protect from odor and sweat for up to 72 hours. The Sexy Intrigue scent has notes of jasmine, red rose, tahitian vanilla, and spicy amber.

This scent is nice! I normally find that womens deodoratns are ineffective for me and I use mens. I will need to test this for about a week to gather a solid review. I have not tried it yet as I am working to use up my current deodorant.

Eva NYC Mane Magic 10-in1 Primer

I have been wanting to try this product for the longest time! I cannot tell you how often I pick it up in stores! This is a multi-tasking leave in that claims to bring 10 benefits to your hair:

• Strengthen
• Heat protect
• Reduce frizz
• Detangle
• Soften
• Cut drying time
• Add shine
• Nourishes
• Smooths
• Add UV protection

You are to shake the bottle then mist it on damp hair from mid-lengths to ends before styling. I have not tried this yet.

Nyx Duck Plump Lip Gloss in Clearly Spicy

This plumping lip gloss claims to provide extreme plumping without layering the product up. It should have high-shine and intense pigment in one swipe. The formula is infused with ginger to do the plumping.

I cannot comment on the pigment as they sent me clear. I will say that the shine is pretty basic. The tingling sensation is boderline burning but it is tolerable. It smells and tastes very spicy – I get the ginger but perhaps there are other spices like cinnamon. I can see a noticeable plump. This formula is not heavy, sticky, or greasy and does feel more like a lip oil. It would be good for layering.

I had this on for an hour and a half before washing it off, and the sensation and plumping did decrease, but a lot of the sensation remained. I could still feel it after washing it off for about 10 minutes. Ulitmately, I do not see myself reaching for this sample again.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Firework Mascara in Very Black

This mascara claims to have a highly flexible silicone wand featuring different lengths of bristles arranged in a firework pattern. The formula should be conditioning with Pro-Vitamin B5 and should hug lashes to shoot them upwards and out.

The wand is very flexible, almost to its determiment as this style is harder to work with. The formula does remind me a lot of the original Lash Sensational which is a favorite of mine! It is rather wet. It does provide some length and volume but honestly I love the original Lash Sensational more. Sometimes you do not get the full effect from mascara samples, and perhaps this formula needs a few weeks to it its prime. That is totally the case with Lash Sensational.

Profusion Halloween 2021 4 Shade Palette

This last item is baffling to me. They sent me a palette that I did receive in the Walmart Halloween Beauty Box back in 2021. I guess this has been sitting in their warehouse for three years and they are trying to get rid of it. Of course its not mentioned in the Walmart Beauty Box Fall 2024 booklet. I do not want to seem ungrateful but all-in-all this is a strange thing to do. I guess I am amused how the year is in your face right on the cover.

I remember liking the original one. I did donate it as it does not add any unique colors to my collection, and, well, you can find shades like Ruby in their other palettes. I will refer you to my original review for thoughts and swatches. I do not want to stick my fingers in this new palette as I will donate it as well. This palette is absolutely safe to wear.
