You should know that I am basically a sucker for any gadget that I find at Dollar Tree that definitely was more than $1.25 at some point. For science, I am giving the Cirrus Curly and Ripply a go! Since buying it, I have watched some videos. I will say up front that this tool is a disaster, so I will be treating the entire review in a lighthearted way. Let’s have some fun together as I go over the full details and how-to.

Cirrus Curly and Ripply Review

You can get the Cirrus Curly and Ripply from Amazon, and Dollar Tree. This is a heatless hair styling tool that comes in a nice quality box. You get the device itself with two types of styling heads and a stand. The heads easily snap on and pull off. It is designed to give your hair texture, and even waves. All you do is stick the heads into your hair and squeeze the trigger for the heads to rotate.

Below I have two ways on how to use Cirrus Curly and Ripply, but, I will say that I think it has potential for short hair. When I say short, I am saying for men, or a woman with a pixie cut, strictly for adding texture. Otherwise, I would NOT recommend that you buy this. It does not work, and mine is going straight to my donate box. For practical recommendations, please check out my blog post on hair styling tools for fine hair.

How to Use Cirrus Curly and Ripply For Textured Hair

For this part of the Cirrus Curly and Ripply review, I used the wavy heads on the left side of my hair. The right side is my natural style. As the look on my face indicates, my hair looks like I just woke up, at best. At worst, it is total walk of shame hair. While it is not painful, the device feels like it is doing a combination of tangling my hair AND tangling itself into it.

How to Use Cirrus Curly and Ripply For Volume

Now, I thought this tool might have potential for those times where you pull your hair up and back for a messy bun or ponytail if you want to add volume to your roots. You know, for that effortlessly undone look. I used the straight heads and stuck them down into my hair. This was painful, and the end result looks like a real mess. I am certainly glad that I did not get all done up for this review!

Conclusion

In summary of the Cirrus Curly and Ripply, this tool flat out does not work. It is so awful, it nearly seems like a joke. There is no way that the creators really thought this thing through! Please, save your $1.25, unless you want to use it for a gag girl’s night in. It might be a fun slumber party activity.
