Walmart Beauty Box Fall 2022 Review, Unboxing, Spoilers

I have a special treat with this Walmart Beauty Box Fall 2022 review and spoilers! While the typical $6.98 box is being offered, I upgraded mine to the BeautySpaceNK edition for $19.98. Walmart’s BeautySpaceNK initiative is simply another way to bring us the world’s top brands of skincare, hair care, makeup, and wellbeing products. This box is a one-time sampler of seven items, plus the bonus makeup bag. I am going to review each item in detail.

BeautySpaceNK Makeup Bag

First is the upgrade edition bonus item. This makeup bag is very high quality neoprene material that is stretchy.

Eyeko Sport Waterproof Mascara

This is a fiber mascara that is formulated with Vitamin E. It has a rather odd wand that is flat, curved, and tapered. It claims to grab and curl your lashes with drama. This has a wet formula, but it does a good job of grabbing and separating lashes with length. This is not a volumizing mascara by any means, since the applicator does not give the needed clump effect.

Philip B Peppermint Avocado Shampoo

It claims to refresh the scalp and to deep clean for bouncy, gleaming hair with a tingly-cool sensation. This is a green gel that smells like peppermint. You are to massage it into wet hair and let it sit for one to three minutes before rinsing. It is sort of ironic to get one conditioner in the Walmart Beauty Box Summer 2022 box and one shampoo here!

Upon initial application I did not feel the cooling sensation, but as I let it sit I did. After washing this out, the feeling intensified and lasted for around 30 minutes. The peppermint smell is pleasant in the steamy shower. It does a good job of deep cleaning and removing buildup, but I personally need something with moisture.

Grow Gorgeous Volume Leave In Serum

It claims to provide touch-to-style control so that you can easily tease flat hair. Your hair should be left air-light and moisturized for volume and increased body and diameter. You are to apply this to towel dried hair and work it between your hands and through the lengths. Then, blow dry and style has normal. It has a perfumed scent. I do not see anything happening with my hair. It looks and feels the same.

Patchology Get Dewy With It Sheet Mask

It claims to deliver hydration and moisture as it balances your skin’s natural H2O levels. You are to wiggle it to get your best fit, and leave it on for 10 minutes. Then, massage the excess serum into the skin. This mask fits well, and does leave my skin hydrated. But, all masks do that. There is nothing out of the ordinary about this one.

BeautySpaceNK Jasmine & Rose Hand Wash

This is nothing more than a pretty scented hand soap. It comes to no surprise that it claims to wash away dirt and leave your hands with a clean, soft feeling.

Babe Original Essential Serum

This is a lash enhancing serum that claims to nourish for younger looking lashes. You are to use this every night by lining your upper lash line. One dip of the brush is enough for both eyes. You are to allow it to dry for one to two minutes and use it nightly until you are satisfied. Then, you can use it two to three times per week to maintain. They claim you will see results in six weeks, hence this is a six week supply.

Obviously, this type of product needs time to work before I can review it. I will use this up entirely and feature it in a future empties review. Be sure you are on the email list and following on social media to know when the empty comes around!

I have a few notes on this. Walmart only carries the pressed powder version, and the booklet that comes with the box mentioned this was pressed. Mine is actually a loose powder. Also, this is made of two ingredients – silica and and sodium hyaluronate. I cannot believe they sell this product for $54 in a full size… this definitely feels like a gimmick.

Anyway, it claims to be a loose powder with skincare benefits. It should set your makeup with a matte finish, but also not dry you out. The color is translucent.

This definitely sets and mattifies the skin. I am actually shocked in seeing some blurring effects, and it leaves a nice, smooth base for makeup application. I do not find that it extends wear time.

The sizes vary. The mascara, shampoo, leave-in serum, lash serum, and powder are decent for multiple uses, while the sheet mask and hand wash are smaller, single-use or sample sizes.

How do I use the products in the box?

• Mascara: Apply with the fiber wand to lengthen and separate lashes.
• Shampoo: Massage into wet hair for 1–3 minutes, then rinse.
• Leave-In Serum: Apply to towel-dried hair, work through lengths, then style as usual.
• Sheet Mask: Apply for 10 minutes, massage excess serum into skin.
• Hand Wash: Use as a regular hand soap.

This one-time subscription upgrade is worth it. There are no repeats from past boxes, plus I have not personally tried any of these brands. The sizes are decent here, but I would like to see deluxe samples in place of the sheet mask and hand soap. Otherwise, the value of the products beats the increased price point.
