My interest in trying both volumes of Jaclyn Hill’s Morphe palette collaborations dates all the way back to the original releases. I simply never pulled the trigger, nor could I convince Santa to bring the palettes my way. What is causing me to finally cave and to purchase both palettes is nothing other than a sale. Now, I know that both the brand Morphe and Jaclyn Hill herself are highly controversial, and that makes me feel like a disclaimer is necessary here. Buying these palettes represents my love of makeup, and I want to part in the drama. Anyway, I figure my readers may be in the same position as me, on the fence wondering if these palettes are worth it. So, I am doing a Morphe x Jacklyn Hill palette looks and review post to help us all decide if we should love or leave these palettes.
Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette Looks and Review
Volume I
Packaging
I am starting my Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette looks and review post off with all of the details on Volume I. The packaging is chic and minimalistic and is composed of a sturdy cardboard. The cardboard is glossy and easy to clean. No mirror is included.
The Eyeshadows
Volume I contains 35 eyeshadows that come in a variety of mattes and shimmers. There are many options for crease shades. However, I like a color similar to Enlight or Beam to set my eyeshadow primer and to create a base to blend eyeshadows on top of. Both of those shades are shimmers, and I prefer a matte to do this. In my book, there is no suitable shade to set the eyelid.
All of these eyeshadows swatch incredibly well, and they are easy to work with on the eyelid with no complaints. There is little fall out or kick-up in the pan. I find the formulas to be buttery and not chalky. You can definitely wet the shimmers if you want to.
The shade range in Volume I really suggests that this palette is an all-in-one, providing most shades that you will need for everyday makeup application. You can go as soft and natural as you want, all the way to bold, dramatic, and glamorous. This color story has plenty of cool and warm tones to compliment all eye colors, and hopefully all tastes and preferences.
Swatches
A note here- when editing this photo I realized I swatched Little Lady twice! I have no idea why, sorry about that.
Volume I Eyeshadow Looks
Now in this Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette looks and review post I want to share two eyeshadow looks that I am creating with the Volume I palette. When we open the palette our eyes are immediately drawn to the lower left corner where the bold purples and blues are. So, I am doing one bold look, and one natural glam look.
To recreate the bold look, begin by applying Buns in the crease. Next, deepen the crease with Chip, also working some of Chip onto the outer-v. Now, we are going to begin creating a halo eye effect by applying Twerk onto the eyelid, but make sure to leave a blank space in the middle. Next, apply Pool Party dry onto the center of the eyelid where the blank space is. I like to apply Pool Party both with a brush and with my finger in a patting motion. Finally, we will work on the lower lash line by lining it with Buns, and then with Chip a bit closer to the eyelashes. Finish the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with Enlight.
To recreate the everyday glam look, begin by applying Roxanne in the crease. Next, deepen the crease with Jacz and also apply it onto the outer-v. Using concealer or a liquid eyeshadow, apply some onto the eyelid to create a cut crease, but do not cover up Jacz that is on your outer-v. Now, apply Obsessed dry on top of the concealer or liquid eyeshadow to really make it pop. Finally, we will work on the lower lash line by lining it with Roxanne, and then with Jacz a bit closer to the eyelashes. Finish the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with Beam.
Final Thoughts
Besides purchasing Volume I for yourself, this palette makes a great gift for a makeup lover. There are so many shade choices here from neutral to bold, with the perfect opportunity to play with color, even if you have no experience. The shade range makes this the only palette you ever need, in theory. I do recommend Volume I and it is worth your money.

Volume II
Packaging
Now in this Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette looks and review post we are moving onto Volume II. Everything about the packaging is the same as Volume I, so I will not repeat those details.

The Eyeshadows
Just like Volume I, Volume II contains 35 eyeshadows in a variety of mattes and shimmers. This palette does have suitable choices for the crease and to set the eyelid.
Half of this palette contains neutral shades, while the other half is as bold as can be. It makes the perfect companion to Volume I by providing shades that you may feel are ‘missing.’
While you can create looks that range from soft and subtle to daringly colorful, you have to be willing to play with bright, bold hues to really enjoy and get use out of this palette. I find that the pinks are pretty similar in the pan and in the swatches.
All of these eyeshadows swatch incredibly well, and they are easy to work with on the eyelid with no complaints. There is little fall out or kick-up in the pan. I find the formulas to be buttery and not chalky. You can definitely wet the shimmers if you want to. This palette is primarily warm tone.
I know that some people say the formula and quality of Volume II is very different from Volume I, but I am not able to identify and differences.
Swatches
I must say, when I swatched Livin’ My Best I literally exclaimed out loud at the pigmentation! Do not ask me why I swatched Volume I broken up into three pictures, and then crammed Volume II into two pictures. I make no sense most of the time!

Volume II Eyeshadow Looks
Here is the moment you all have been waiting for in this Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette looks and review post- some Volume II looks. Again, I am doing two different eyeshadow looks.
To recreate my bright sunset look, begin by setting the eyelid with Certified. Next, apply Lolli Mama onto the crease, and bring it down below the lower lash line about half way across. We are going to be applying three shades onto the eyelid, starting with Positivi-Tea on the center. Then, apply No Joke onto the inner eyelid, and Livin’ My Best onto the outer-v. Be sure that all three shades are blended. Apply Livin’ My Best, Positivi-Tea, and No Joke onto the lower lash line. Complete the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with I’m In It.
The second look plays with purple. To begin, set the eyelid with Certified. Next, apply Not My Journey into the crease, beginning in the center of the eyelid and work it outwards a bit past your eyebrow. We are basically making a wing with the crease shade. Then, apply Stay True to the rest of the crease, starting from the middle and working toward the inner eye. Using an eyeliner brush, apply Temptress below the crease color. Now, apply Drama Queen wet onto the eyelid. Line the lower lash line with Not My Journey and Stay True. Complete the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with I’m In It.
I know that this look is very patchy, but that is the fault of the eyeshadow primer and not the eyeshadow itself. My primer formula was going bad, and I did throw it away. Overall, it is not my best work anyway.
Final Thoughts
I also recommend Volume II as the quality is definitely there, so the palette is worth your money. Just keep in mind if you are not into bold shades then you will only enjoy half the palette. I say if you like these colors, then go for it! You will not be disappointed.

Conclusion
In summary this Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette looks and review exploration, both volumes of the palettes are drop dead gorgeous in terms of pigmentation, quality, and application. Whether you are shopping for yourself or a friend, you cannot go wrong with either choice, as long as the hues speak to you. I recommend both of these palettes as being worth your time and money. Now, my question to you is, if I ever get my hands on the mini palettes from this collection, would a review post in similar format to this one be helpful? Please let me know in the comments. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.

Great review! This looks like a perfect everyday palate. You have your nudes, some pop of colours, glitters, and Matt’s. Love the pigment of the shades.
