We see snake print pieces come and go out of style time after time. Naturally, my wardrobe is accumulating many snake pieces. I have everything you can think of- from rompers, to pants, blouses, jackets, and even earrings! Now is the time to compile these pieces into outfits, 11 to be exact! My snakeskin outfit ideas promise to inspire you, no matter how you decide to style the print. I will show you how to use booties, bags, and belts to add accents to your look, or just go full out python with it. I am also doing the hard work for you of shopping similar pieces so that you can recreate my looks for yourself at home. Click on any of the pieces to shop my finds. Time to get started!
Look #1: Romper with accent pieces
I am kicking off my snakeskin outfit ideas with accent pieces. This romper from Madison and Mallory is a beautiful, unique shade of blue. They style it with snake print booties that are highly similar to mine, but I am kicking it up about 10 notches by throwing in a matching handbag and belt. Even though the romper is a solid hue, I am finding a way to break that up by adding in the snake print myself. The cut of the romper allows for a long necklace. You can even add a hat to this look!

Look #2: Snake print shirt
Second, I am styling a t-shirt that is perfect for running errands or a movie night! The shirt has a lot going on and can be distracting to the eye, so I am opting for a simple, small gold hoop earring. Why go for plain jeans when you can add a few rips in there?! I know I am taking it overboard with the purse/belt/sandal combo, but everything goes together so well that I cannot resist. Be sure to tuck the shirt in just slightly so that the world can admire your matching belt!

Look #3: Crystal tunic and leggings
Third is a look with a lot of sparkle that you can choose to rock either dressy or casual. I typically do not like to do color on color, so I need a way to break up all the black. This is another great example of using the matching booties and handbag to your advantage! The silver chain on the handbag works with the crystals very well, so I will keep all of the accents silver. I need to say here that I bought the handbag and booties from two completely different stores at different times, and I cannot get over how well they match. Now, I just need some sparkly eye makeup.

Look #4: Fun with cognac
Fourth, I am combining cognacs and browns into an intricate, layered style. I always feel over the top fashionable when I am wearing a long piece that flows in the wind! Opting for faux leather leggings adds a special touch instead of wearing classic cotton. I am drawing out the hues in the snake print with the shoe and handbag combo. Also, notice all the textures! The jewelry features resin, wood, and straw, while elsewhere we have suede and faux leather playing together. This look is not hard to put together or to pull off, but it surely will look that way to others!

Look #5: Bringing the skort back
For my fifth look in these snakeskin outfit ideas, you are not seeing a typo. I actually did find a skort, which, in case you are not familiar, is a skirt with shorts built-in. But, the material has weight to it, and the snake print itself is metallic. I just have to have it! As if the skort is not enough, this shirt has lovely ruffled sleeves that do pack on the volume. Gold accents look nice with this particular snake print. Matching brown and black has never been my thing, but I can totally get away with the handbag as a method to pull some hues out of the skirt.

Look #6: Inspired by Instagram
My inspiration to create this outfit comes from a fashion post on Instagram that is burned into my mind. I am determined to dupe the outfit, but with much more affordable pieces, and I believe that I am hitting the nail on the head! This outfit mixes a lot of colors, which usually makes me nervous, but it is all in good taste. The bright orange/cognac hue of the skirt behaves nicely with the blouse. White booties are a safe choice to ultimately keep the look in check. Fishnet tights really add that extra bit of attitude. Maybe I am far reaching here, but the brown handbag also pulls colors out of the blouse, yet somehow matches the crevices on the skirt.

Blouse- Rachel Zoe from TJMaxx
Skirt- Unique 21 from Asos
Booties- Universal Thread from Target

Look #7: 90s editorial magazine
I am flat out having fun with this look! Something about the sunglasses and the boots really take me back. I was thinking about leaving the last picture as an outtake, but it is so goofy I need to keep it. Maybe I should be on the cover of some sort of editorial fashion magazine, or maybe I am a football player about to throw my clutch into the end zone. I cannot get over how well the coat, clutch, and earrings match. You would think they are made for each other.

Jacket- Kensie from Ross
Shirt: No Boundaries from Walmart
Jeans- Vanilla Star from Sears
Sunglasses- No Boundaries from Walmart
Earrings- No Boundaries from Walmart
Booties- Mari A from Madison and Mallory
Clutch- Time and Tru from Walmart
Look #8: Having a Gaga moment
This look is lighter for the spring and summer with loose pants and a sheer top. The pants grab all the attention, so the other details are much more fine. For a dressed down feel, you can opt for shoes without a heel. I enjoy how the sheer top invites a chance to layer with a bralette. Something about the wig and sunglasses are totally giving me Lady Gaga vibes! The hat is completely optional, but I do invite you to have fun with accessorizing without overdoing it.

Hat- rue21
Bracelet- rue21
Look #9: Blushed hues
This snake romper is unique in many ways, especially with the pink tones and the sleeves that billow in the wind. So, it must be included in my snakeskin outfit ideas! Why not go all out pink with a matching handbag that even has some snake print details of its own! This neckline works great for a necklace, and rose quartz plays into the theme perfectly. We have a lot going on here, so a neutral-hue shoe is key. Again, you can opt for a flat shoe if you do not want to feel so dressy. I like strappy shoes vs ‘plain shoes’ because they add so much more interest and detail.

Look #10: Country vibes
I am not really a girl who is into western fashion, but this look really provides country vibes, and I love it a lot! The snake print skirt features an unusual blue/gray color that works perfectly with the fringe vest. O-rings are some of my favorite features because they are always attitude packed and over the top! A solid white shirt keeps control over the look, but who says that it needs to be plain? Notice the cut-out details on the sleeves for extra oomph. The glass stone necklace matches everything 100%, yet picking a long chain fills the open area provided by the vest. White booties are crisp and clean. As if there is not enough snake print here, I am whipping out one of my favorite handbags that glows for miles.

Handbag- Kardashian Kollection from Sears

Look #11: Runway snake print
The final look in my snakeskin outfit ideas provides a higher fashion feel. Considering the cut of the duster cardigan, you will be able to see my legs somewhat, so I am adding texture there with faux leather shorts. With the open area on the chest, a long necklace will fill it great. I am opting for gold to match the handle on the handbag. I love how the handbag is made of vegan materials that mimic feathers! From a distance, you might think it to be a more expensive bag. Bodysuits are so easy to style under these cardigans because they require minimal effort but stay tucked in.

Bodysuit- Popular 21 from Ross
Shorts- White Lily from threadUp

Thanks for pointing out that adding a bit of accents can help a lot in improving an outfit with snakeskin leggings. I’ve been thinking about adding more leggings in my closet because they seems so comfy when I’m walking outside. I’ve been doing brisk walks in the morning lately in order to be able to jog up my metabolism a bit.
That’s awesome! You will be jogging in style with some snakeskin leggings for sure.
