As we plow through 2019 it is time for my Play! by Sephora May 2019 review. The theme of this box is Beauty BFFs. Sephora states that the products inside will be so awesome that you will want to write to your best friend about them. I say we open the box and judge for ourselves whether or not the products live up to expectations.
Benefit Badgal Bang Volumizing Mascara
The first item in my Play! by Sephora May 2019 review is Benefit’s Badgal Bang Volumizing Mascara. it features a tapered, silicone wand that claims to have a 360-degree reach. Other claims include that it provides massive volume and weightless length for up to 36 hours with a waterproof formula.
Sol de Janeiro Coco Cabana Cream
Second, I have Coco Canaba Cream by Sol de Janiero. It is a body cream that claims to provide intense hydration for up to 72 hours by drawing out moisture from the air and into your skin. You can apply it anytime that you need a moisture boost. The cream is white and has a delicious, coco butter scent.
Alterna Haircare Caviar Anti-Aging Restructuring Bond Repair Leave-in Heat Protection Spray
Third is Alterna Haircare’s Caviar Bond Spray. It is a leave-in conditioner that claims to prevent breakage, frizz, and split ends, while providing heat protection. You are to spray it evenly through towel-dried hair and comb. It is a thick, milky spray with a difficult to describe scent.
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Cream
Fourth, I have Bye Bye Under Eye Cream from It Cosmetics. It claims to reduce the appearance of fine lines, dark circles, and puffiness while brightening and smoothing the skin. You are to apply it in the morning and evening by gently pressing the cream into the skin. It should absorb quickly. The formula is lightweight and mouse-like, light blue in color, and has no scent. With continued use you should see instant and over-time results.
Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Stepping Out
Next I have Smashbox’s Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Stepping Out. This is my second sample but in a different color, so I can speak to the benefits. The formula is full coverage in one swipe, dries down to be completely matte in a few minutes, and is comfortable to wear. Stepping Out is a beautiful brown in person, and a color that I really like. The shape of the doe foot applicator makes it easy to fill in your lips without a mess.
Viktor & Rolf Salty Flower
The final product in my Play! by Sephora May 2019 review is Viktor and Rolf’s Salty Flower fragrance. It is truly an unusual, yet delightful scent with notes of salt flower accord, cashmeran, and frangipani flower. You can say that it is a beachy scent with a pinch of salt. While I enjoy every fragrance sample from Sephora (I am not picky with my scents), this one really stands out to me as one to maybe repurchase.
In summary of my Play! by Sephora May 2019 review, I have a fine variety of products! While I am not sure these are good enough to write home about just yet, I am liking the haircare, skincare, makeup, and fragrance options. I am especially ecstatic about not getting any primers or moisturizers. What are your feelings about this box? Do these products make for a superstar cast? Please share your thoughts in the comments and until next time, continue to let your true beaut shine.
