It should not come as a shock that my Play! by Sephora June 2017 review is dedicated to summer, being as that the first day of summer is upon us. Summer heat and swimming can do a number on your skin and hair, so this box claims to help us ladies out with our moisturization woes. It is time to open the box and see what treasures are within.

I have to be honest and say that I am hoping for another cute plastic bag this month.

First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer

The first item in my Play! by Sephora June 2017 review is First Aid Beauty’s Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer. It can be worn alone or under makeup. It helps your skin glow with shimmery micro-pearls while keeping your skin hydrated and moisturized. The instructions state that you are to apply a dime-sized amount to your face. The cream is a nude color that matches my skin tone, and is shimmery. As for the smell, it is hard to describe but it is somewhat sweet.

Benefit POREfessional Face Primer

Yay, I am excited to get Benefit’s Porefessional Face Primer! This is the largest sample that I have received. It really works, and I am glad to have more. This primer blurs the appearance of pores and fine lines. This primer is somewhat thick, and again is nude colored, similar to my skin tone. It has no scent.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in K-Dub

As you know, I love liquid lipstick and matte lip color. While I am all about nude lip color right now, I also love bright, wild colors! I am not afraid to wear some crazy colors. In fact, K-Dub from Kat Von D reminds me of a lipstick I used to rock back in high school, which earned me many compliments. Wow, this liquid lipstick is bright! It has instant pigmentation, no need to build up color. The product applies smoothly with the standard doe-foot applicator. It dries matte in about two minutes.

IGK Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel

Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel is a hair styling gel that claims to provide you with an “undone,” effortless look. You are to apply a quarter-sized amount to your towel-dried hair, or to wet hair before blowdrying. The product is a translucent white shimmery gel. The scent is rather fresh.

OUAI Rose Gold Hair & Body Oil

Rose Gold Hair and Body Oil is a quick-absorbing oil that will replenish your skin and hair by adding moisture and illumination. It is good for brittle, frizzy hair, or dry skin. The instructions are a bit odd to me, because the sample comes in a spray bottle, but it speaks in terms of drops. For use on the hair it says to apply one to three drops to wet hair. For use on the skin it says that you can apply as many drops as you want, all over your body. I plan on converting drops to sprays. The product is a clear oil with a pinkish tint and smells like roses.

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium

The final product in my Play! by Sephora June 2017 review is Black Opium. Black Opium is a warm perfume packed with coffee, orange blossom, cedar-wood, vanilla, and white flowers. It smells delicious and feminine.

My summary feelings about this Play! by Sephora June 2017 review is that it is alright. I have two primers and two hydrating haircare products, and only one makeup item. With future boxes I want to see more variety. I really do love the liquid lipstick, and my hair is always in need of repairing products. The box lives up to the summer moisturization expectation. Will you try any of these products? Do you subscribe to this box? Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
