This is my first ever review of the Sephora Play! boxes because I am finally off of the waitlist! I love the idea of this subscription service because I get to try out high end products for a lot less, as my high end collection is fairly small right now. In starting this Play! by Sephora July 2016 review I a completely thrilled by seeing brands I can only dream of owning. I hope you will join me for this unboxing and all the rest that will come with this new blog series. Now, onto the unboxing.

Can I just say how adorable this bag is?!

OUAI Haircare Wave Spray

The first product in this Play! by Sephora July 2016 review is Ouai’s Wave Spray. I’m really impressed by the size of the bottle. The liquid is a golden color and it smells like some sort of fine perfume that you would find perhaps in your grandma’s collection, like an Estee Lauder or something. I mean this in a good way. It is supposed to create beachy waves in your hair.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Pore Minimizing

Second is Smashbox’s Photo Finish Foundation Primer in Pore Minimizing. I have large pores around my nose, so this primer is perfect for me. I also love that it’s oil-free, which I appreciate because I have oily areas on my face. The product itself is not purple, but more of a golden off-white color.

blotterazzi by beautyblender

Third is beautyblender’s blotterazzi. My major concern is that it will wipe my makeup away while trying to blot excess oil. It even comes with liquid beautycleanser! All I can really do is give this thing a try and hope for the best.

First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser

Fourth is Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser by First Aid Beauty. It claims that it removes oils, purifies, and clears pores when used twice a day. The product itself is a translucent red color, almost gel-like, with a bit of a medicinal smell with hints of cologne. I note that the product is sort of runny.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer in Medium/Deep

Fifth is Chocolate Soleil Bronzer in Medium/Deep from Too Faced. Ahhh, this cult-favorite product smells amazing! The formula is so smooth. Also, it’s matte, which I heart so much. A brush picks up much more pigmentation than your finger when swatching.

Nest Fragrances Citrine

The last sample in this Play! by Sephora July 2016 review is Citrine by Nest Fragrances. It smells like lotus flower, freesia, sparkling citrus, and hints of precious wood. The citrus is definitely present. My overall impression is that it’s pretty and I will use it.
