Summer 2020 has officially already started, meaning the perpetually late Walmart Beauty Box is now here. In recent months Brandshare did send an email stating to anticipate delays due to the virus. Please do not use that as an excuse! This box has been late every season for years now, virus or no virus. Anyway, I think you all will enjoy this Walmart Beauty Box Spring 2020 review. I have some new, and quirky items to test out here. Also, some news on the Summer box. Time to unbox!

A Note on the Summer 2020 Box

Before I get into the Walmart Beauty Box Spring 2020 review, I am sharing a snippet of an email from Brandshare. They are revamping the boxes, so they will not be sending a Summer 2020 box. The next box will be Fall 2020. Sometimes I am disappointed by the samples and repeats, but my main hope with the revamp is that the boxes will be shipped on time. At the start of my subscription the boxes always arrived during the appropriate season. They got off track, corrected it once, and now it is horrible. I reached out to customer service one time and got the excuse that they ‘had a lot of new subscriptions’ which is bogus to me. Fingers crossed that my Fall box does ship in August.

Dove Go Active Dry Conditioner

The first item in this Walmart Beauty Box Spring 2020 review is Dove’s Go Active Dry Conditioner. I have never heard of a dry conditioner before, only dry shampoo. I am super excited to try this for science! My hair definitely gets greasy in between washes, but I cannot say that it gets dry. I am concerned that this product will be a bit much for me, but we will see.

This product claims to leave your hair nourished and touchably soft while conditioning, detangling, and removing odors. You are to shake the can well, spray it eight to 10 inches from the hair, and only apply it from mid length to ends.

Biore Rose Quartz + Charcoal Daily Purifying Cleanser

Leave it to Walmart to give us a sample of Biore’s next face wash! The Rose Quartz + Charcoal Daily Purifying Cleanser is a light metallic pink gel that is definitely fragranced. It is safe to use daily as it has no exfoliators in it. The formula is very smooth. You are to wet your face, then work the product into a lather by massaging the skin, and finally, rinse. A note from my future self here- this product leaves a cooling sensation on the skin! My t-zone is oily, so I wonder if this will help reduce oil production.

Hello Activated Charcoal Toothpaste

Third is Hello’s Activated Charcoal Toothpaste. I am no stranger to this toothpaste. Walmart has sent it many times in the past, and it is the only repeat in the box. I actually have a full-size tube waiting in the wings. Maybe this is silly, but I get such a kick out of looking in the mirror and seeing pitch black teeth smiling back at me!

This toothpaste claims to whiten the teeth naturally, while removing plaque and freshening the breath with minty flavor. I do not recommend spitting it into a white sink, as it can be very messy, and the tube warns as such. I always brush in the kitchen’s stainless steel sink where I can spray the black away.

You are probably wondering, if I like the toothpaste so well, does that mean it works? I enjoy using it, but I cannot say my teeth are changing. To me, teeth whitening is just like diet and exercise. You cannot live on junk food, exercise, then question why you are not meeting your weight loss goals. I am not willing to give up my daily coffee or my love of iced tea. As long as I continue to stain my teeth, I will not see proper results.

Hello Charcoal Infused Toothbrush

Fourth is an awesome companion to the above toothpaste. Here we have Hello’s Charcoal Infused Toothbrush. It has soft, tapered precision bristles and a comfortable handle. Currently, I am using a different charcoal toothbrush from Dollar Tree because I hate how charcoal toothpastes stain my white toothbrushes. Since you should change your toothbrush every 90 days, I will try this one once time is up on my current brush.

Nyx #thisiseverything Lip Oil in Sheer Blue Sky

Fifth is Nyx’s #thisiseverything Lip Oil in the shade Sheer Blue Sky. Yes, you are reading this correctly- this lip oil is blue. I did not believe my eyes at first. Thankfully, having ‘sheer’ in the shade name is 100% correct. The product is so sheer it really looks clear, rather than blue. However, I think blue is an odd choice to send to someone to introduce them to a product. Ironically, I just started wearing another lip oil daily to use it up, so I can easily transition into this one next. I am not a fan of lip oils and glosses, but wearing these while working at home is no big deal. No one can see my lips but me, which is a great time to test products.

Natural Vitality Calm in Raspberry Lemon Flavor

The last product in this Walmart Beauty Box Spring 2020 review is Natural Vitality’s Calm. I laughed out loud when I found this in the box because I am always amused by the commercials for this drink mix powder. The thought of drinking ‘calm’ is funny to me. This product is a magnesium supplement that claims to reduce stress and relax muscles. You are to add this entire packet to a mug with two to three ounces of warm water. Next allow the product to fizz and dissolve completely. The, you can fill the rest of your mug up.

Hearing “relaxes muscles” freaks me out because the heart is a muscle. I know I am being a big baby here, and I will definitely try this packet out. I need to further research exactly what magnesium does for the body. Also, I typically do not like flavored lemon drinks, like raspberry or strawberry lemonade. So, this is a curious flavor choice. I will put this packet in my next empties post (probably July 2020) so stay tuned for that. Drinks are not something I usually report on, but since it is being included in a Walmart box, it is fair game.

Conclusion

We are at the end of this Walmart Beauty Box Spring 2020 review, and I must say that I am very happy with this box! As usual, the value of the products inside far exceed the flat rate of $5. The Nyx lip oil is full-size, and the tube products are travel size. The only repeat is the toothpaste, but I like the product, so I am not mad. Since the Summer box is not happening this year, I will see you back in the Fall. Make sure you subscribe for new posts so you do not miss the Fall unboxing, as well as my monthly empties reviews. All of these products will be reviewed in an empties post in the future. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine!
