Over the years I have been building out blog posts covering my nail polish collection brand by brand. It is time to talk about China Glaze nail polish. My collection of this brand is “small” compared to others, with just 41 bottles. I buy most of my polishes on sale, clearance, or from discount stores. For whatever reason, I do not come across China Glaze as often. But, we will build out my collection together because I always update these posts as I go. As we look at my full collection I do have China Glaze nail polish swatches, color descriptions, and a review.

China Glaze Nail Polish Review

For my China Glaze nail polish review, I need to say as I was combing through my collection to make this post I had to throw several bottles away. This surprised me because I have many other nail polishes that are older and have been open for longer, yet they still work fine. I am not used to discovering multiple colors that have gone bad when I make these posts! That is a word to the wise- these may not have the shelf life that you expect.

I do appreciate that China Glaze nail polish colors strive to be unique, bold, and different. They like to do a lot of branded collaborations and they definitely go all out to add something new to your collection.

This brand is pricier compared to other polishes on the market. I find that they wear and last just as well as any other polish, hence there is nothing that makes them stand out to cause you to pay more. They stay more in line with OPI or my Essie nail polish collection. The brush is decent and you will get a smooth and clean application. I am not personally a fan of their matte polishes as I find them streaky and difficult to work with. Overall, I will continue growing my collection from sales and discounts.

If you need to have more color, definitely check out my OPI nail lacquer collection!

China Glaze Nail Lacquer Frequently Asked Questions – FAQs:

I am ending with some frequently asked questions about China Glaze nail lacquer:

Does China Glaze nail polish need a UV light?

China Glaze nail polish does not need a UV light. They offer a large selection of standard nail polish in conjunction with gel polishes that do require a UV light.

Does China Glaze nail polish dry fast?

China Glaze nail polish dries as quickly as a standard polish. It is not faster or slower than other top brands. Achieving a quick dry has a lot to do with your top coat of choice.

Does China Glaze contain formaldehyde?

China Glaze does not contain formaldehyde. Their formula is seven-free, meaning it does contain harmful chemicals that you will find in other brands.

Conclusion

In conclusion of my collection of China Glaze nail polish, this brand is no better or worse quality-wise than most others out there. Their range of unique colors and finishes definitely makes them a stand out, especially if you are looking for something fresh to add to your lineup. We can also appreciate that their lacquer is free of the bad stuff, so you do not have to worry about the health of your manicure. You cannot go wrong with China Glaze nails, along with their other lines and offerings. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.

What is your favorite shade of China Glaze? They have a lot of “famous” or OG options!
