If you are a fan of The Breakfast Club movie, then I bet you are head over heels for Physicians Formula The Breakfast Club! This in-depth review includes swatches, star ratings, and an almost full face makeup look from the brand. The goal is to help you decide on what to buy from the collection, and what you should skip. The size of this collection is rather manageable with three lipsticks, two face palettes, a mascara, and an eyeshadow palette. You can get good use out of all of the neutral shades, with nothing bold or weird in the mix.
Where To Buy The Physicians Formula The Breakfast Club Collection
You can buy this collection from Physician Formula’s website, or Target. The items are sold individually, or in The Breakfast Club Collection Box, which does contain the full collection. Target does not carry the box set or the eyeshadow palette. So, your best bet is PF if you want to get your hands on everything. I did not go for the box set because I got the lipsticks on sale at Target, then I went to PF to grab the other items.

The Breakfast Club Saturday Detention Face Palettes
First from the Physicians Formula The Breakfast Club collection are the The Breakfast Club Saturday Detention Face Palettes. This format should look very familiar from the Allstar Face Palette and the Butter Dream Team. I find it curious that both volumes of palettes have the same shade names. There is no real distinction between the two options in terms of what PF is going for, but Vol. 2 seems to be better suited for darker complexions. As a fair skin woman I can enjoy almost everything, with the exception of The Basketcase highlighter in Vol. 2.
Anyway, if you like their other face palettes, you will like this one! Each product is easy to blend and to build to your desired level of intensity, including the highlighters. Nearly all of the blush and bronzers are matte, except for Class of ’84 in Vol. 2.
Claims: These palettes contain warm bronzers, illuminating highlighters, and glowing blushes. They should be seamlessly blendable and buildable, with soft matte and radiant finishes.

The Breakfast Club Being Bad Feels Pretty Good Eyeshadow Palette
Second is The Breakfast Club Being Bad Feels Pretty Good Eyeshadow Palette. I know this looks just like the butter eyeshadows, and let me say, this palette is great! I appreciate that the shade range is full of neutrals that you will want to reach for every day. Many limited edition palettes contain wacky shades that are best for collecting purposes only. Everything here blends and builds like a dream. I was not expecting such good pigmentation! There is very little kick-up or fall out. Overall, I am highly impressed with the Physicians Formula The Breakfast Club eyeshadow palette! The shade names are on the back:
Physicians Formula The Breakfast Club Being Bad Feels Pretty Good Eyeshadow Palette Shades | |||||

We’ve Been Brain Washed | Flare Gun | Get Real | Sincerely Yours – The Breakfast Club | Everything’s Cool. | I’m Not That Pristine |
Claims: These pigments should glide on easily for a seamless blend. The palette contains buttery soft mattes and radiant multi-dimensional shimmers, plus one shimmer.

Rating: 5 out of 5.The Breakfast Club Detention Mascara in Ruckus Black
Third is The Breakfast Club Detention Mascara in Ruckus Black. I do not find the wand to be that unique. It has typical bristles, with the slightest tapering. This formula does a great job of lengthening and coating all of your lashes, but leaves something to be desired in the way of volume. The mascara is not too wet or dry, and it is ready to go right away.
Claims: This mascara contains lash-loving ingredients to strengthen, plus the blackest of black pigments. It should coat every lash for a volumizing effect with the help of the unique wand.

Rating: 4 out of 5.The Breakfast Club The Princess Lipstick
Last in this The Physicians Formula The Breakfast Club review is The Breakfast Club The Princess Lipstick. I find the formula to be more matte than semi-matte or satin. They do not feel as moisturizing as other PF lip products do. I can definitely feel these on the lips, but not in a drying way, nor do they get crusty. They have full pigmentation but they look a bit patchy and dry on the lips. They swatch much smoother on my arm than they apply to my lips! I find these to be super basic, cheap drugstore lipsticks, but the shades are good for daily wear. Maybe give these a coat of Physicians Formula Diamond Lip Plumper to save the day.
Claims: These lipsticks provide bold coverage that lasts, with a moisturizing formula to hydrate the lips. The finish is semi-matte. You should get instant color in one swipe that glides on cleanly.

The Breakfast Club Makeup Look
I am ending with a nearly full face of PF makeup look. I do not have enough items to go full face, but I am substituting with drugstore options, plus using the eyeshadow palette as eyeliner. Here are the products used:
- Butter Believe It Putty Primer
- Butter Believe It Foundation in Fair to Light
- Natural Defense Total Coverage Concealer in Fair
- Mineral Wear 3-in-1 Setting Powder
- Nyx Control Freak Eyebrow Gel
- wet n wild Micro Brow Pencil in Deep Brown
- The Breakfast Club Saturday Detention Face Palette Vol. 1
- The Athlete (bronzer)
- The Princess (blush)
- The Basketcase (highlighter)
- Butter Believe It Skin Mist
- The Breakfast Club Being Bad Feels Pretty Good Eyeshadow Palette
- The Breakfast Club Detention Mascara in Ruckus Black
- The Breakfast Club The Princess Lipstick in I Don’t Like Mondays
To recreate the eyeshadow look, start by setting the eyelid with Detention. Then, apply Sincerely Yours – The Breakfast Club to the crease and bring it down below the lower lash line. Next, apply 5 strangers to the eyelid, leaving an empty space in the middle. Then, deepen the corners of 5 Strangers with Get Real. Now, apply We’ve Been Brainwashed to the center of the eyelid. Connect the outer corner to the lower lash line with Get Real. Highlight the brow bone and inner corner with Shermer High School. Finish the look by using Not Who You Think I Am as eyeliner, which I darkened with Flare Gun.

Conclusion
In summary of Physicians Formula The Breakfast Club, the number one product that you need to buy is the eyeshadow palette! The mascara is ok, and the lipsticks are take it or leave it. You probably do not need both volumes of face palettes. I recommend selecting the one that will work the best for your skin tone, but they are great. I think we can all agree that we want to see PF do more licensed collaborations in the future! Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
