wet n wild is on fire with big brand collaborations that also give us a throwback and all the feels. I hope you like huge makeup collections, because wet n wild Care Bears is doing it all. While it takes some cues from various Fantasy Makers lines and Little Twin Stars, we also see new and innovative items from the brand. I have all of the 26 items and I am providing the most details that you will find on the internet! This includes swatches, reviews, star ratings, comparisons, two makeup looks, and so much more. wet n wild x Care Bears General Notes

Every time that I cover a collection, you know that I share all of my notes, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

The Walmart online shopping experience is just as awful as it has been for the past year plus. You can find a small chunk of items, but some say out of stock. You have to use advanced Google search techniques to find the product listings. Also, it will tell you that nearby stores do not have the products when they actually do.

We believe that this collection might replace the Fantasy Makers festival-style annual collection. After all, it takes a lot of cues from past collections. Some Walmarts are putting out small, sidekick displays of 2022 Fantasy Makers, but it is all repeats of last year.

wet n wild Care Bears Collection Release Dates and Where to Buy

Walmart stores started putting out their displays days head of April 2, 2022. I used to work for Walmart, so I know that they put stuff out whenever they get it, be it early or late. But, Walmart’s prices are about $2 cheaper than the other retailers. If you plan on buying the entire collection, that is about a $52 savings!

wet n wild’s website does not list the cleansing balm. Also, a good chunk of products are out-of-stock or basically were never stocked. Ulta’s website does not carry the full collection either.

This collection is sold as individual pieces, or you can buy a collection box from wet n wild, Ulta, or Amazon. Alert! The collection box is $55 from Amazon, versus $79 everywhere else. Please note the collection box only carries a selection of products:

Care Bears Handle With Care Makeup Bag

The first item in the wet n wild Care Bears collection is the Handle With Care Makeup Bag. It has a clear front and cute heart-shaped zipper pull. This bag is fairly large! Whenever I review a makeup collection with a bag, I am curious to see if the entire collection will fit. In this case, almost everything fits in the wet n wild Care Bears makeup bag, spare two sponges and the nails. You would have to take the nails out of the boxes. Realistically, no one jams this much stuff into a makeup bag, nor would you want loose nails rolling around. Yes, this bag passes inspection!

Claims: This is a medium-size makeup bag that will keep all of your essentials secure.

Care Bears Sharing is Caring 2-piece Dual-Ended Brush Set

Second is the Care Bears Sharing is Caring 2-piece Dual-Ended Brush Set. These brushes remind me so much of the options from the Little Twin Stars collection style-wise, so I am including a side-by-side shot for you. Without digging too deep into my wet n wild brush collection, I do not feel that these brushes are super unique. But, you can never go wrong with the high quality and durability. Their brushes are as functional as they are beautiful.

Claims: These brushes gently caress the face to blend your makeup to perfection. You get a shadow brush, blending brush, complexion brush, and a highlighting brush.

Care Bears Resting Bear Face Cleansing Balm

Third is the Care Bears Resting Bear Face Cleansing Balm. This product does get all of your makeup off without stripping the skin of moisture! I have another cleansing balm that works well, but it leaves my skin feeling dry and tight. This product is great and I will totally buy more if it does not manage to sell out.

Claims: This cleansing balm has a buttery texture that glides onto skin to melt away makeup and impurities. It will leave your skin soft and clean after rinsing, but it will not dry you out. This is for all skin types. It is perfect for a double cleansing routine if you follow it up with a water based cleanser.

Care Bears Cheer You Up Face Gem Mask

Fourth is the Care Bears Cheer You Up Face Gem Mask. I have never been into the gem mask concept so I typically give these a meh review without actually trying them. I have no desire to stick gems on my face and see if they can adhere to a full face of makeup. Please share in the comments how you feel about these masks if you have used them!

Claims: This gem face mask is easy to apply and is self-adhesive.

Care Bears Make it Sweet Lip Scrub

Fifth in wet n wild x Care Bears is the Care Bears Make it Sweet Lip Scrub. I like that the scrub and mask feature an easy twist and lock feature. Admittedly, my first impression on both of those products is that you get a small amount of product! This is a lot like the Little Twin Stars or Star Lux scrub, but less than half the size. It is best for a mild exfoliation, as there is a lot of waxy filler surrounding the actual beads.

Claims: The sugary sweet texture will buff away dead skin to reveal soft, hydrated lips that are nourished.

Care Bears Caring Counts Palette for Eye and Face

Next is the Care Bears Caring Counts Palette for Eye and Face. Lately I have been feeling like wet n wild’s formula has changed, and I still feel that way. But, this palette applies a lot better to the eyes than it does in a swatch, and that is what counts!

You will get kick up in the pan, plus minor fall out on the face, and you can see the dust flying. To minimize these issues, work in light layers. You may want to apply the eyeshadow before the rest of your face makeup.

Purples are hard to manufacture, but these are really nice! I am surprised by how a lot of these shades pop on the eye. Take the lime green, for example. I am so pale that I can never make that show up, but this one does. You can really layer and build these colors up.

The metallic satins are the perfect formula to apply wet! I do dry application in this post to show their raw power. While you do not get much in terms of base shades, this is a fun palette for colorful and artsy looks. Please note the shades with a (*) are not to be applied to the eye area.

Claims: This palette features 15 hyper-pigmented shades, including mattes, shimmers, satins, and glitters. The smooth formulas should glide on and blend seamlessly. You can use them wet or dry.

Care Bears False Lashes

Here are the Care Bears False Lashes. I usually give the lashes three stars, but this time I bumped them up to four! The reason is, and let’s face it, wet n wild lashes always look cheap. I believe these are the best looking ones so far that you can wear on a daily basis. I would like to see an even more flexible and thin band. Keeping the inner corner glued down is a struggle, but I know that is a universal issue of all false lash wearers.

Claims: These are voluminous, full-body lashes for instant depth. They are easy to apply with soft, flexible fibers. You will find them to be lightweight and comfortable enough to fit anyone.

Care Bears Play, Sleep, & Repeat Lip Mask

Continuing on is the Care Bears Play, Sleep, & Repeat Lip Mask. Again, this is super small! While it is supposed to be lavender scented, mine has a strong herbal scent that hits you in the face. It is not the most pleasant, but their formula works well for the lips.

Claims: This overnight lip mask nourishes while you sleep. It will leave you with soft, supple, hydrated lips that are revitalized. The formula is great for dry, cracked lips, and the lavender scent is calming.

Care Bears Artificial Nails

Next are the Care Bears Artificial Nails. The glitter options are stolen right from the Fantasy Makers Festival nails. The glitter definitely will not survive hand washing and showering, so be sure to apply a good clear top coat if you want your nails to last. Overall, they do look rather cheap, but wet n wild makes a great nail glue.

Claims: These wet n wild Care Bears nails are made with comfort fit technology for easy application and long wear.

Care Bears Care Package 5-piece Makeup Sponge Set

Pressing on with the wet n wild Care Bears Collection review is the Care Bears Care Package 5-piece Makeup Sponge Set. wet n wild has an amazing sponge formula, and they use it for all of their regular and limited time sponges. They are always super soft and bouncy, and do meet their claims of expanding, absorbing little product, and giving you a nice blend. I will always stand behind their sponges.

Claims: This sponge set features teardrop and hourglass shapes that are essential to makeup application. You will get smooth, streak-free application. The material is hydrophilic that expands twice its size but does not absorb product.

Care Bears Friendship Goals Eyelash Curler & Mascara Set

Next is the Care Bears Friendship Goals Eyelash Curler & Mascara Set. wet n wild is completely upfront about the fact that this is their High On Lash Eyelash Curler in a limited edition purple hue with a charm. Below is a comparison to the rose gold. This is actually my favorite curler that I use religiously every day because it does grab every lash with zero pinching!

The mascara wand and formula is super similar to to Big Poppa. While I am doing a side-by-side comparison, note that my Big Poppa is on the drier side because its been open for a long time. However, the Care Bears ingredient list is about double the size of Big Poppa, so it is not a re-release. The wand does grab all of the lashes, and I see some length and volume. I would like to see a bit more, but wet n wild mascara usually leaves something to be desired.

Claims: The mascara adds volume and length while accentuating lashes for major impact in one swipe. The lash curler is a limited-edition color of the High On Lash Curler with a charm, that precisely grabs and lifts lashes without pinching.

Care Bears Always Care-a-Lot Makeup Sponge

Here is the Care Bears Always Care-a-Lot Makeup Sponge. This is definitely an interesting piece from the overall Care Bears x wet n wild collaboration because this sponge changes colors with warm water, something only beautyblender brings to the table! The moment this sponge touches warm water, it goes from purple to blue. But, it starts turning purple again fast, which you can see in the picture. I can blow on it and make it go purple! This sponge about doubles in size and is so squishy. It is almost too big for foundation application and is perhaps best reserved for body makeup. Like all of their sponges, the formula is top-notch.

Claims: This is a color-changing temperature activated with heat sponge. It provides smooth, streak-free blending with hydrophilic material that will not absorb product.

Care Bears Let Your Light Shine Highlighter

This is the Care Bears Let Your Light Shine Highlighter. Please note this is a glittery highlighter and not so much metallic, as I know some people are not into that. Glitters always have the potential to emphasize texture. This formula is somewhat buildable. The hue is great for all skin tones.

Claims: This highlighter is blendable, buildable, and contains ultra-reflective pearl pigments that provide a radiant glow. It brightens with super pigmentation.

Care Bears Live, Laugh, Hug Bronzer

Get ready to be bronzed up with the Care Bears Live, Laugh, Hug Bronzer. This matte bronzer is so velvety smooth! It is never orange or muddy. I know that it looks dark in the pan, but have no fear. You can easily build up and control the pigment. Plus, this shade can work on a variety of skin tones and even contour.

Claims: This bronzer is highly pigmented, super blendable, and you can control the color depth. It warms up the complexion while being silky and soft.

Care Bears Do What You Love Blush

Next in wet n wild Care Bears makeup is the Care Bears Do What You Love Blush. This is the perfect bright pink matte shade to wear on a daily basis. It looks so healthy on the skin. This is also easy to control and to build.

Claims: This blush is buildable, blendable, hyper-pigmented, and super soft. It provides a healthy flush of color that you can build from subtle to intense.

Care Bears Get Through the Night Setting Spray

Here is the Care Bears Get Through the Night Setting Spray. What I am about to say in regards to the two sprays might sound super weird, but it is what it is! I have to wonder if mine are mis-bottled or something based on the results. After all, the claims make this sound like an Urban Decay All Nighter dupe. Sadly, it is not. Yes, this spray sets the face well, but the entire lower half of my face, the chin and upper lip specifically, completely broke down about five hours into wear. This is shocking, especially since I am testing it with wet n wild foundation that I have worn SO many times, including for special events. This is not typical behavior, plus we know their foundation loves primer serum. I would have to test this more, but so far it is a major fail.

Claims: This lightweight setting spray locks makeup in place to keep shine at bay. It minimizes the appearance of pores and gives a flawless finish.

Care Bears Pick Me Up Face Mist

This is the Care Bears Pick Me Up Face Mist. While this is not explicitly a makeup setting or extension spray, it blows the Get Through the Night Setting Spray out of the water! You can use this for a skincare-like mist, but honestly, it sets makeup like a dream. You can get that nice melted and cohesive look with it. Dare I say that it even extends the wear of makeup, which is a statement that I hardly make, or make lightly. This is why I feel like there has to be a bottling mixup.

Claims: This is a hydrating and refreshing face mist. It should brighten, smooth, soothe, and give a dewy glow. You can layer it under or over makeup, or even spritz it on during the day for instant moisture.

Care Bears Glitter Gel

Continuing on is the Care Bears Glitter Gels. You should already know that I am a major fan of the glitter gels. Besides the fact that they are like body glitter for adults, you can use them anywhere for all-day, long-lasting wear. They are easy to apply, fully dry down, and always pack a punch. My favorite uses are to accent the eyes and to apply on the cheekbones.

Claims: This is super concentrated glitter gel for the face and body. The high coverage glitter dries quickly.

Care Bears Brighten Your Day Primer Serum

Here is the Care Bears Brighten Your Day Primer Serum. I love all of wet n wild’s primer serums the same. They layer well with any and all products, plus they feel great on the skin and create a lovely base for makeup application. You might want to wear them alone for skincare and glowing skin benefits. This one looks the same as the primefocus Brightening Primer Serum, but they have different ingredients. Further, the Care Bears version smells a lot more like citrus. I really do not think it extends makeup wear.

Claims: This primer serum soothes, brightens, preps, primers, and refines the skin for longer-lasting makeup.

Care Bears Shimmer Lip Gloss

The last items are the Care Bears Shimmer Lip Glosses. wet n wild makes a perfectly good lip gloss. They are never heavy or sticky. You get a super shiny, sheer wash of color that you can reapply as needed.

Claims: This lip gloss is lightweight and non-sticky. It provides a sheer coat of color with multi-dimensional pearl pigments. One swipe gives a mirror-like finish with a sugary sweet scent.

I am ending with two makeup looks!

Wish Big

First, I am going all purple to showcase how well made the eyeshadows are. I am also bringing the blush over the bridge of my nose because it is the perfect shade for a flirty flush. The lashes are gorgeous, and the eyes really pop with color! Here are the products used:

To recreate the eye look, start by applying Share Bear to the crease, and connect it down along the entire lower lash line. Next, apply Harmony Bear to the eyelid. Then, apply Best Friend Bear to the outer corner of the eye, lightly blending it into the crease and connecting it to the lower corner. Finish the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with Care-a-Lot Bear.

Second, I decided to go green. I cannot get over how vibrant, almost neon, the eyes are. There is almost an alien vibe, especially with the glitter gel accents. I am really happy with the way both looks turned out. Here are the products used:

To recreate the eye look, start by applying Good Luck Bear to the crease, and connect it down along the entire lower lash line. Next, apply Heart Song Bear to the eyelid. Then, apply Wish Bear to the outer corner and connect it down to the lower lash line. Now, highlight the inner corner with Birthday Bear. Finish the look by applying the glitter gel onto the brow bone and below the eye.

In summary, this collection is huge, but there is a lot worth collecting. I love when wet n wild gives us some innovation instead of repackaging old products. A color changing makeup sponge and cleansing balm is new for the brand. I hope these products become permanent items. A big shout-out is owed to the blush, bronzer, and highlighter for being the perfect shades for many skin tones, as well as for daily use. This collection does not feel like it needs to be reserved for costuming or collectors only. You can enjoy pretty much all of it, all the time. Really, nearly everything is worth it.
