For no particular reason I never seem to gravitate toward blue makeup or clothing. Out of the four palette lineup from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Pro Pigment line, Volume 2 might be off-putting to you if you are the same way. This Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Volume 2 review features three distinct eyeshadow looks and swatches will convince you that you need this palette no matter your taste or preferences. There is so much that you can do here to use the blues to your advantage, largely due to ABH being a high-quality brand with unbeatable quality. Over time I will do all four palettes, but let’s get into it.

About the Palette

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 2 contains 25 shades and retails for $60 at Sephora, Ulta, and at the brand’s website. Unlike some of the other palettes, this one does not contain pressed pigments or glitters. As Sephora’s website details, these are the shade descriptions:

25 Eyeshadows in A1 (shimmer hot pink), A2 (matte lime yellow), A3 (shimmer lime), A4 (shimmer periwinkle), A5 (shimmer teal), B1 (matte green with large sparkle), B2 (matte deep periwinkle blue), B3 (matte jade green), B4 (matte ultramarine blue), B5 (matte azure blue), C1 (multi-shade reflective shimmer champagne), C2 (matte sky blue with sparkle), C3 (matte cobalt blue), C4 (matte Prussian blue), C5 (matte oxblood), D1 (multi-reflective green silver), D2 (matte bold orange), D3 (matte hot pink), D4 (matte yellow with large sparkle), D5 (matte navy blue), E1 (matte emerald green with large sparkle), E2 (shimmering amethyst), E3(matte teal green), E4 (matte red brown), E5 (matte black)

This palette is Vegan and cruelty-free. The color story is aqua inspired in a unique number/letter layout to provide professional-grade quality and feel.

Please note that A1, A4, B2, B4, C3, C5, D2, D3, D5, E4, and E5 are not intended for use around the immediate eye area.

The palette is packaged in a sturdy hard plastic and features a full-size mirror.

Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol 2. Swatches

As you can see from the swatches, this palette is incredibly pigmented, as well as vibrant. All of the shades swatch easily. You can see how soft and almost blurred the swatches appear, which is attributed to the high-quality, buttery formula.

This palette produces little to no fallout or kick-up, outside of the usual amount produced by any eyeshadows.

This palette first appears in my 2020 Christmas gifts! In doing research for this post I found a headline possibly accusing this palette of having too many blues, which I scoff at. One risk with this type of color story is not having enough differentiation between the shades. You can clearly see a difference between not just the blues, but all 25 shades, and that translates to the eye.

Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 2 Review

The pigmentation, quality, and blendability of this palette is consistent with the Anastasia Beverly Hills line, which is exactly why I collect their palettes and recommend then to you. You will find this palette to be so easy to work while being highly versatile. This palette is great for a blue lover (hi, Mom!), and is in stark contrast to Volume 4, but you can definitely think outside the box. Do not get caught up in all the blue and let that turn you away if it is not your thing. The complimentary shades provided can really take you places you might not have thought possible.

As with most palettes, you can apply these formulas wet or dry. The more metallic or shimmery shades already pack an excellent punch dry, so you can only amplify them with a wet brush. The mattes are buttery smooth and not chalky or patchy.

I find all of the shades and formulations to be consistent in quality and application.

Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Vol. 2 Looks

I am ending this Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Volume 2 review with three different eyeshadow looks. When you open this palette it is evident that you have a group of greens, blues, and bright colorful hues, so I will use those to break down my looks.

Ocean Eyes

To recreate this look, start by applying B4 to the crease and bring it down below the eye. Next, darken the crease with C3, and apply a little bit below the eye as well. Then, apply C2 to the entire eyelid,  and also below the eye starting from the inner corner and blending it into the other shades. Now, apply D5 to the outer-v and it connect it down to the lower lash line with a pencil brush, hugging it close to the lashes, about halfway across. Finish the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with C1.

Yellow Tease

A quick tip- yellow, especially mustard yellow, makes an excellent pairing with red-toned browns or reds in general. That is the inspiration for the next look.

To recreate this look, start by applying E4 to the crease and bring it down below the eye. Next, apply D4 to the eyelid, and also at the lower lash line starting from the inner corner and sweeping it toward E4. Then, apply C5 to the outer-v and connect it down to the lower lash line. Finish the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with C1.

Neon

We cannot skip the beautiful greens in the palette! This combination ends up being super neon, but I am not mad about it.

To recreate this look, start by applying B3 to the crease and bring it down below the eye. Now, thinking of the eyelid as three sections, apply A2 to the inner third, B1 to the center, and E3 to the outer third or V. Then, connect E3 down to the lower lash line. Also apply A2 to the lower lash line starting at the inner corner and blending toward the other colors. Finish the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with A3.

Conclusion

In summary of this Norvina Pro Pigment Palette Volume 2 review, I bet you do not have another palette in your collection with a color range quite like this one. Obviously the aqua hues take center stage, but the unexpected neon pops and neutrals make it a complete picture. As evidenced by my eyeshadow looks, you do not have to go blue each and every day. If this shade range speaks to you, be sure to scoop it up before it goes away one day for good. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
