If you feel like 2019 is flying by, you are not the only one as I surely feel the same way. Believe it or not, it is time for my list of Fall 2019 fashion trends. I am happy to report that this season presents us with plenty of opportunity to layer and to incorporate textures, patterns, and more into our daily looks. This is great because we can control how warm or cool we are, while looking put together, and avoiding the bland and boring. I promise that you will have some of these trends already in your closet, which will save you some cash! Let’s dive right into my top 10 list.
Fall 2019 Fashion Trends
1) Asymmetrical Pieces
The first style in my list of Fall 2019 fashion trends are asymmetrical pieces. These come in many forms. You may see shirts and skirts that do not have a straight cut at the bottom hem, such as the examples I have below. Or, you may see pieces that only cover one shoulder, so they are physically not symmetrical in how they cover the body. However you decide to rock your asymmetrical look, you are sure to look stellar.
2) Booties/Short Boots
Second are booties, or short boots. We are not seeing knee-high or thigh-high boots as often this season. Try to keep your boots short and sweet with crisp lines and nothing slouchy.
3) Printed Pants
Third are printed or patterned pants. Say goodbye to boring, solid hues and invite some stripes or animal prints into your life. Typically, printed pants are made with soft and comfortable material and even feature elastic waists, so this trend is really a win-win! We are also seeing a lot of printed pants with flare bottoms.
4) Leopard
Fourth is leopard. Let’s get real here, leopard is trending almost every season, so this is nothing new. But, we cannot get over how chic, stylish, and expensive it looks! Leopard comes in every form, from shoes, shirts, handbags, and more. There is always a way to incorporate it into your outfit, even if you are using it for a statement pattern.
5) Long Kimonos
The fifth trend in my list of Fall 2019 fashion trends is long kimonos and pieces with long hemlines in general. We are also seeing kimonos that have a corset-style waist that comfortably hold you in. A benefit to these pieces is that they are great for layering your look, so you are in control of how warm and cozy you are as the temperature fluctuates.
6) Button Accents
The next trend is buttons! Sure, we are seeing functional buttons that enable you to wear your shirts open or closed, but we are also seeing decorative, or non-functional buttons. You may see them on shoulders or sleeves, or going down skirts or dresses. Be sure to embellish everything with buttons this season.
7) Mini Skirts
Continuing on, we have mini skirts! If you are afraid of your legs getting chilly in a mini skirt, definitely consider pairing them with leggings or tights. These skirts offer a great opportunity to include different textures and materials into your look. With all of this being said, cinching your waistline is also quite trendy.
8) Snake Print
Next up is for sure the biggest Fall 2019 fashion trend- snake print! You will find snake print on literally everything, from boots, coats, shirts, skirts, handbags, and more! It comes in different colors and textures. You should find some way to incorporate it into your aesthetic if you truly want to be fashion forward this season.
9) Belted Waist
Pieces with belted waists are also on trend. You may see belts going around dresses, shirts, or coats, or even pants that come with belts attached. This trend is so easy to duplicate at home because you can put an existing belt that you already own over whatever you are wearing, and you will look like you know exactly what you are doing.
10) Colors
To end this Fall 2019 fashion trends list, I am going to talk about the trending colors. Honestly, these colors are trending almost every fall and they are nothing new. The good news here is that probably means you already have these in your closet.
