Play! by Sephora July 2019 Review

Play! by Sephora July 2019 review

Here we are in the middle of summer and of all of the heat that it brings. We are finding ourselves due for a Play! by Sephora July 2019 review. The theme of this box is “Desert Island Essentials.” If you could only take six items to a desert island, Sephora is suggesting that you may want to utilize these samples, if you are not sure what to take yourself. Hopefully these items are keeping summertime in mind! Time to jump straight into the unboxing and review.

Lime green is my favorite color! I like the bag this month.

Korres Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser

The first item in my Play! by Sephora July 2019 review is the Korres Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser. It claims to wash away makeup and impurities while nurturing your skin with it’s cream-to-foam formula. You are to gently rub the cleanser into wet skin and then rinse it away. It is translucent white with a slight fruity scent.

Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops

Second are Self-Tanning Drops by Isle of Paradise. You are to apply one to 12 drops into any moisturizer, and then to apply the moisturizer to your face and body. The more drops that you add, the more intense your tan will be. Sephora is giving me the “medium” drops. Be sure to wash your hands after applying this product! The formula is a green gel and the scent reminds me of hand sanitizer, but not as strong. I am not into self-tanning or sun tanning, so I may pass this along. I should at least give these a try before getting rid of it. The directions do not say how long the tan should last.

Lancome Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover

Third is the Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover by Lacome. It claims to remove your most stubborn eye makeup without the need to tug and pull. You are to shake the bottle well before use, and then to wet a cotton pad with the clear liquid. Next, hold the pad over your eye for a few moments before wiping the makeup away. It has a very light clean scent.

Kiehl’s Ginger Leaf & Hibiscus Firming Mask

Fourth is the Ginger Leaf and Hibiscus Firming Mask by Kiehl’s. It is an overnight mask that claims to give you visibly firmer, smoother skin. You are to apply a quarter-size amount to clean skin before bed and leave it on all night. In the morning you are to wash your face. The directions do not state if it is safe for nightly use. The mask is a light cream color with a slight floral scent, probably from the hibiscus.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Champagne Pop

Fifth is a cult-favorite that I myself have always wanted to try- Becca’s Champagne Pop Highlighter! I feel like I have many dupes for this highlighter in my collection, which prevents me from buying the full-size. The swatch is so beautiful! It is a pinky-peach highlighter.

Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue

The last sample in this Play! by Sephora July 2019 review is a repeat fragrance from the August 2017 box. Light Blue by Dulce and Gabbana is a floral and fruity fragrance that is fresh and perfect for summertime! The notes include granny smith apple, bamboo, white rose, musk, and cedar-wood.

In conclusion of this Play! by Sephora July 2019 review, these products are definitely geared towards summer! We only have one repeat in the bunch, and thankfully no primers or moisturizers! If I were to go to a desert island I may not take these products myself. Which products would you take? What are your favorites from this July box? Please let me know in the comments. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
