Summer 2018 Outfits – 15 OOTDs

summer 2018 outfits

Hi, everyone! I am back with some fresh style inspiration, featuring 15 summer 2018 outfits. Making look book posts for each season is one my favorite hobbies. When thinking of summer I try to incorporate looks that suit all types of weather- from scorching hot, to mildly chilly, and all temperatures in between. I also like to provide looks that are attainable for all tastes, from girly, to casual, gothic, and more. By the end of this look book I hope that you will take something away from this curated summer 2018 style collection. If anything, I want to teach that style can be affordable and effortless, using pieces you may already have in your closet. Let’s get started.

summer 2018 outfits

1) Palm print + Gold accents + Neon hues (Endlessly Tropical)

My first style in these summer 2018 outfits is perfect for the dog days of summer. This palm print romper is anything but ordinary with it’s neon green hues and playful ruffles. I am pairing the romper with gold accents and palm leaf earrings to match. I am having a little bit too much of a good time with the Urban Decay Electric pressed pigment palette to duplicate the colors in the romper on my eyelids.

Earrings: No Boundaries from Walmart
Shoes: Attention from Kmart
Handbag: A New Day from Target

2) Mesh + Moons + Choker neck (Lunar Gal)

My thought process with this outfit is combining a more grungy look with comfort. This is also an easy way to wear a skirt without dressing up. This t-shirt and mesh skirt combo are so soft. I like the choker neck detail on the top with the large, triangular cut-out region. I am playing with the open area by wearing a moon necklace that fills the space, but I am wearing it under the choker neck.

3) Florals + Pearls + Fringe (Always Got Class)

I like that some elements of this style from my summer 2018 outfits feels dressy, but the denim shorts bring it back to earth. This outfit is a great way to take a summer shirt and shorts and amp them up a few notches to something more classy.

4) Denim + Cognac + Peach (Day Out Style)

This outfit is perfect for a day out shopping or running errands. It provides the right amount of comfort while looking put together. I like being able to move and feel free when I am out for the day, and I definitely get that from this look. The color combinations are also safe choices.

5) Mauve + Pink + High neck (Soft & Blushing)

With my next look in my summer 2018 outfits, you would never know how pretty a light, blush pink looks paired with a mauvy pink, but they really do work well together. The high neck and crochet/mesh details on the shirt makes me feel like a queen, or at least some sort of royalty. The shirt is also easy breezy. I love matching up neutral and blush hues to make soft, girly outfits.

7) Neutrals + Sharkbite + Denim (Girls Day Brunch)

You can never go wrong mixing and matching neutrals, as evidenced by this look from my summer 2018 outfits. It is perfect for chilling with your girlfriends. My strappy tank top is nothing but extraordinary with crochet straps and details, mock lace-up section, and sharkbite hem. I am including some gold accents to add glam without being over the top.

8) Lemons + Gold + Yellow (Fruity Fun)

I am a huge fan of wearing lemons and pineapples, and after I bought these lemon sandals I knew that I had to create a dedicated look for my summer 2018 outfits. The sandals are definitely statement pieces, which I am evening out with a solid-colored top with crochet details. The bracelet is screaming to be paired with the sandals, and I love that it even features a pineapple, which speaks to my soul. I just need to have fun with the eye look, so I am using a combination of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam and the Urban Decay Full Spectrum palettes.

9) Grays + Silver + Floral (Garden State of Mind)

I like that with this outfit you can wear a shirt and some shorts and still look put together. I am taking the black and white and gray theme from the shirt and running with it by adding in more silver and gray accents. The yellow in the shirt provides an appropriate pop of color.

10) Pineapple + Stripes + Black (Easy Breezy Chic)

While this look from my summer 2018 outfits does not have many pieces, it can be worn for numerous occasions. I wore it to a summer fair, but it can also be good for a day out shopping, a concert, and more. The pineapple dress is lightweight and breezy for summer, yet soft and packable for your travel needs. The backpack enables you to be hands free, and the flip flops add that missing touch of bling.

11) Red + Plaid + Lace-up (Sun Chaser)

I am a believer that plaid can be worked into outfits for any season. To avoid this style from getting boring, I am layering up my necklaces and choosing a shirt with lace-up details. I am also throwing in some leather pieces to add some texture.

12) Faux leather + Leopard + Silver (Fabulously Fierce)

I am deciding to take this style to the next level by wearing the leopard tank with faux leather shorts. Silver accents work really well with the hues in the shirt, so I am adding them wherever possible. I like that the details on the choker closely mirror the style of the purse, and the zippers on the sandals keep the attitude vibe alive.

13) White + Basics + Pineapples (Basic Yet Beautiful)

While I am a fashion lover, I definitely like my basic t-shirts too! However, they do not need to be boring or plain. I am keeping the color scheme matching, but adding a colorful pineapple-print scarf that pairs up nicely with a pineapple bracelet. With this outfit I am managing to look put together, without sacrificing comfort.

14) Cheetah + Black + Silver (Into the Wild)

It is a rare moment when your shirt and purse look like they were made for each other, but you need to take advantage of the opportunity when it arises! Working with the grays in the shirt I am adding in silver accents in a variety of ways. The back of the shirt is a far cry from bored stiff, with a criss-cross strap section, and a generous lace panel.

15) Roses + Gold Accents + Black and White (Flirty and Free)

My final look in my summer 2018 outfits can definitely be dressed up or down, and carries a flirty edge. This shirt has so much going on! Not only is it cold-shouldered and button-down, it also has ruffles, a collar, and stripes paired with roses. I am taking the black and white stripes and matching them up with a corresponding black and white purse. I want to keep the gold chain on the purse a recurring theme in the outfit, so I am opting for sandals with gold hardware, and staple gold hoop earrings.
