Play! by Sephora October 2016 review

Woohoo, it is time for a Play! by Sephora October 2016 review! This month’s theme is “The Cool Cut,” featuring new products that are expected to take the world by storm. I have no idea what to expect with this theme, and it has me curious! Time to open the box.

Another cute bag as always. Maybe there will be lip products inside?

Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil

The first item in this Play! by Sephora October 2016 review is Christophe Robin’s Regenerating Mask with Rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil. This product claims that it strengthens and enhances the color and shine of your hair. You apply it after shampooing, lather it from roots to ends, and then wash it out. I think this product is pretty neat and the sample size is generous. It smells almost like baby powder and is an off-white lotion-like product.

Skin Inc Pure Revival Peel

Second is Skin Inc’s Pure Revival Peel. I am immediately freaked out by the word “peel,” but no where in the description or instructions is peeling mentioned. Needless to say, I think it is safe to use. This product exfoliates by removing dead skin to renew complexion. You apply it to your dry face, allow it to sit for a few seconds, massage it in circular motions, and then rinse. It is a clear liquid with no apparent smell. I will try it, but I do not think the sample size is large enough to see real results.

Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Driver’s Seat

Third is Smashbox’s Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Driver’s Seat. I absolutely love matte lips, liquid lip color, and this color in general! The swatch dries completely matte quickly. It is very smooth and pigmented. I know fore sure I will get use out of this.

Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb

Fourth is Belif’s The True Cream Aqua Bomb. This is a facial cream intended to tighten the skin, while smoothing it for a supple feel. There are many things you can do with it. I will probably go the route of a light application for moisturizing effects. It can also be applied heavily as a 5-minute mask and then wiped off, or over top of makeup for moisturizing benefits. The scent fresh and clean, almost reminiscent of hand sanitizer and it is light blue in color.

Blinc Mascara Amplified in Black

Fifth is Blinc’s Mascara Amplified in Black. The dual packaging is just so different. It is a mascara that forms a water-resistant tube around each eyelash, until you go to wash it off. Interestingly enough, it is water-based. This new technology is very intriguing to me and I cannot wait to see what it is all about on my face.

Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris

The final item in this Play! by Sephora October 2016 review is Mon Paris by Yves Saint Laurent. Wow, this perfume smells really pretty! It is a mix of fruits and florals, including bergamot, pear, raspberry, strawberry, jasmine, and more. I will be using this bad boy very soon.

We are at the end of the Play! by Sephora October 2016 review. I do not find it as thrilling as the past boxes, but that mascara and matte liquid lipstick are huge hits for me. Nevertheless, I look forward to the next box. Will you try any of these products? Are you a subscriber to this box? I want to chat with you in the comments. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
